Matchman

Our hero, and the title character of the comic that bears his name. In everyday life he masquerades as one Scott Suffix, famed genetics research scientist and full-time laboratory klutz. But, when the signal calls, he bursts forth in his gaudy costume as Matchman, defender of togetherness and apostle of true love! His powers span the gamut, but are primarily geared to human reconciliation, on all levels.

Whether the conflict is between two lovers, within a single person's heart, or between two nations at war, Matchman is able to pour soothing oil on the troubled waters and bring the combatants together in peace and harmony. Naturally, he and the organization for which he works, VALentine Complex (Virtuous Altruists League) is despised and feared by evildoers everywhere.

Appearance. Tall, thin and agile with short dark hair and a rugged, lantern-jawed face. His skin-tight suit carries an interlocking jigsaw-puzzle design in orange and blue, with the heart-and-M logo on chest and cape; elbow-length gloves, knee-high boots, a twin-heart belt buckle, no mask, and a long two-tone cape (orange and blue, reversed).
