The original character notes locate his beginnings near White Sands and describe a childhood made difficult by his unusual appearance. A move to Mexico, a life of crime and eventual arrival in New York lead him towards B.L.A.H.

In “South of the Boredom,” Discordia finds him in a poor Manhattan hideout reading Shakespeare. He names Apuleius’s “The Golden Ass” as his favourite book. He initially values independence over joining a group, but Dejection’s name impresses him enough to accept the offer. The encounter reveals taste, pride and hopes beyond hired violence.

In comic 3 he works with Super Ficial! against Selena; in comic 17 he joins the Antisemit’s ambush. The animated teleplay “Grant’s Doom” adds an attempt to explain himself to the press after defeat. Literary interests and career expectations give this recurring henchman an unexpectedly personal comic life.
