A self-taught eighteen-year-old vigilante from Rego Park, Queens - “a younger, handsomer Woody Allen with a crew cut” - who learned ninjutsu from Rambo and Dolph Lundgren movies and fights with Pier One katanas and yellow Star-of-David throwing stars. He cracks the Ultima Thule case open by tipping off Z-Girl (#15), joins VALCom, and gains super-speed from the Stealth Saucer radiation (#16). His whole hero career is powered by a hopeless crush on Z-Girl.

This biography includes story developments and endings

Arnie begins as a schoolboy and self-taught fighter inspired by action films. In comic 15 he secures a meeting with Z-Girl and brings information that advances the Ultima Thule investigation. His crush motivates him, but actions prove his value to the team.
In Germany he fights Der Glockenspiel’s mechanical forces and defeats Clockface with agility and a sword. In Antarctica he joins the struggle over the Stealth Saucer. Exposure to its radiation brings superspeed, changing his place among the heroes.
When Scott loses his powers, Arnie becomes an essential partner in rescuing Z-Girl and Kimoko. Speed and weapons are still insufficient on their own: defeating a protected Super Ficial! requires several allies’ abilities. Arnie grows from wanting to impress a heroine into sharing responsibility for others.
