The Soviet Onion is a large sentient plant-like being with mobile appendages, operating in Siberia. In comic 10 it seeks to restore a communist order under its own command. Cooperation with Dejection joins ideological slogans to arms trading and B.L.A.H.’s profits.
Matchman rejects an invitation to join, recognising domination behind the language of brotherhood. Dennis Ivanovitch, the young wielder of the Tunguska Blaster, and the local crowd complicate the confrontation. The story sets genuine reconciliation against unity imposed by force.
