The Matchman
Shrouded in shadow and whispered rumor, the figure known only as The Beefeater is a terrifying enigma in the modern world. His origins are obscured by classified records, but dark legends suggest he is the only known escapee from the ultrasecret "X Block" of Wormwood Scrubbs maximum security prison-a black-site facility designed specifically to contain delusional psychopaths who pose an existential threat to society.
The Beefeater is all that and much more. His fractured psyche is driven by a singular, grandiose obsession: the violent resurrection of the British Empire. He envisions himself as the rightful, iron-fisted sovereign of a "renascent Albion," determined to terrorize his fellow Britons into accepting his draconian rule and restoring global dominance.
He never stalks the night alone. He is eternally partnered with HAL, a sentient, malevolent halberd whose bloodlust rivals that of his master. Together, man and cursed weapon form a symbiotic force of imperial terror.
Though his past campaigns to legitimize his claim to the throne through forceful marriage into the Royal Family have ended in catastrophic failure, his resolve remains terrifyingly unbroken. Possessing the chilling "stiff upper lip" of a deranged patriot, The Beefeater inevitably regroups, forever plotting the next strike in his eternal war for the crown.
