Dr. Wang is connected with a painful episode that returns to Matchman in a dream. In comic 9 Scott travels to Hong Kong to confront him. Wang now presents himself as a respectable businessman and says he has abandoned crime.
His marriage to Anita, whom Scott once knew, and the apparent legality of his position complicate Matchman’s response. Dangerous activity nevertheless emerges behind the respectable exterior, and the police investigation confirms grounds for Scott’s suspicions. The confrontation involves Wang’s assistants and combat robots, alongside a clash between personal certainty and the law.
