Ikebana investigates the attack on Matchman during a Japanese convention. In comic 7 she explains that she has pursued Ina Morata for roughly five years and sees the latest incident as a chance to advance the case. Her work began well before the superhero arrived.

With Matchman and the DoubleSign Twins, she uncovers the cult’s hidden organisation and helps oppose its plan to release gas in the subway. Her scepticism about ninjas becomes a recurring joke beside the twins’ fighting skills. Attraction to Matchman never displaces her initiative as an investigator.
